Desi Girl.....
I have been attending a few weddings this summer. First my BFF got married and now it was one of my cousins getting married.
One was a love cum arranged marriage and other was a love marriage.... In one marriage both the boy and the girl were waiting to meet Mr. Right and Ms. Right for a long time, whereas in the other marriage Mr. Right and Ms. Right were in love since long long time but were waiting for family approvals. Whatever their stories are, the fact is that today they are married (happily married) to the person of their choice.
I strongly believe in destiny, no matter what there is one person for everyone, whom you meet and share your life together with. Like the way I met my husband almost 11 years ago and it still feels like yesterday. No matter how much time I spend with him it always seems little. Things change a little over a period of time with transition from being college student’s to working professional and then to being married and staying together. But it’s been a wonderful journey with so many great experiences, moments shared and ups and downs...we have stayed together (touchwood J)
I am not trying to be a marriage/relationship counsellor or something of that sort but just sharing my experience on relationships...
Some things which I would like to share are:
· Always say “I Love You”(mean it too)
· Give selflessly without expecting
· Give and have your own space...
· Don’t forget that you are friends
Now coming to today’s post I bought this saree to wear for this wedding. Since the colour was so fresh and the blouse was in a contrast colour I decided to keep it simple yet glamorous with the jewellery and the makeup.
The design of the blouse was an inspiration from what Aishwarya Rai and Vidya Balan have been wearing lately. My tailor did a good job of making a perfect blouse to which I added a leaf shaped motif at the back of the blouse.
